The Tax Manager will serve as a key in-house tax leader, responsible for managing corporate tax reporting, compliance, transfer pricing, and intercompany activities in a growing, multinational environment. This role partners closely with Accounting, Treasury, and Finance leadership to ensure accurate tax reporting, operational alignment, and compliance across jurisdictions. The ideal candidate is commercially minded, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning processes end-to-end in an industry setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Own quarterly and annual income tax provision preparation, including ASC 740 workpapers and supporting schedules.
- Prepare and support U.S. and international income tax compliance, including federal returns, international information reporting (e.g., Form 5472), FDII calculations, and Foreign Tax Credit analyses.
- Serve as the primary internal liaison with external tax advisors, managing timelines, deliverables, and data requests.
- Oversee indirect and other tax filings, including VAT, withholding tax, sales & use, property, and other ad valorem taxes.
- Execute and monitor transfer pricing policies, ensuring accurate calculation and recording of intercompany charges.
- Maintain, reconcile, and clear intercompany balances, including loans, interest, payables, and other cross-border transactions.
- Manage intercompany agreements, prepare interest calculations and journal entries, and support accounting, tax, and treasury stakeholders.
- Provide tax research and support for new jurisdictions, business changes, and other ad hoc tax initiatives.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.
- CPA required.
- 5-8 years of relevant tax experience, including direct experience in an industry (corporate) tax role; public accounting background a plus but not required.
- Solid understanding of U.S. federal and state tax rules; exposure to international tax concepts strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of GAAP and general accounting and finance principles.
